SAN FRANCISCO (KRON)–A two-alarm fire damaged the top floor of an two-story building in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.

The fire was reported around 2:50 p.m. on the intersection of 19th and Vermont streets.

People inside a dentist office and a small boutique on the first floor were told of the fire and were able to leave without being injured.

The two owners of the building were away when the fire happened.

The dental office will also be displaced, Baxter said

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Vermont and 19th streets are still closed.

Residents are asked to avoid the area.
