Today is National Voter Registration Day

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Tuesday, the day following the first presidential debate, is National Voter Resignation Day.

Events around the Bay Area are helping people get prepared for November 8, or Election Day.

At the Alameda County Registrar’s Office, staff will help students at Chabot College help register starting at 10 a.m.

In Santa Cruz County, libraries and some Starbucks stores will be registering people to vote at 10 a.m.

Residents of Marin County can head to the College of Marin Quad, Kentfield Campus and the Dominican University Cafeteria at 11:10 a.m. to resister to vote. At 5 p.m., residents can register at the Novato Farmers Market on Grant Avenue between First and Fourth Streets.

Residents in California must register by October 24. You can also register online here.
