CHICAGO (KRON) — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in Chicago involving a school bus driver, Friday evening.
According to police, officers responded to shots being fired in the area of Jackson Boulevard and Kildare Avenue where a 31-year-old school bus driver was shot while operating the bus.
The driver was grazed by the bullet and sustained head wound, police said.
Shortly after the driver was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, and is in stable condition.
Children were on the bus at the time of the shooting, no other injuries were reported.
An investigation is ongoing, and police are searching for any possible suspects.
