Car erupts in flames after collision killing one in San Jose


SAN JOSE (KRON) — One person burned and died in a fatal car collision in San Jose, Sunday morning.

According to San Jose police, officers responded to a vehicle in flames around 2:55 a.m. in the area of Silver Creek Road, and Farnsworth Drive. Fire fighters from the San Jose Fire Department extinguished the flames and discovered a body inside the car.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

After and investigation officers said, that the car struck a tree in the median and erupted into flames.

The victim has not been identified, and this accident marks the city’s 31st fatal collision.

Police are asking anyone with information to come forward and contact the police department at 408-277-4654.
