Man dies after being struck by vehicle in San Jose

SAN JOSE (KRON) — A pedestrian dies as a result of being struck by a vehicle in, Sunday morning.

According to San Jose police, officers were dispatched to the area of East Capitol Expressway and Tully Road around 12:55 a.m.for an auto vs. pedestrian hit-and-run collision.

Upon arrival officers discovered an adult male victim where he was pronounced dead on the scene.

The victim has not been identified, and will not be identified until the Santa Clara County Coroner’s notifies the victim’s next of kin.

After investigation police arrested a suspect.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.

Police said, this is the city’s 30th fatal collision.
