SAN FRANCISCO (KRON)—Five people have been arrested in an alleged child pornography ring, according to the San Francisco Police Department.
The Internet Crimes Against Children Unit starting investigating Gary Waite, 38, and Danica Morais, 34, in March for allegedly having pornography of children under the age of 10.
Waite and Morais were arrested in June on suspicion of possessing child pornography and distributing it.
Through the course of their investigation, police found three other suspects linked to the crime.
Investigators found Waite was sending child pornography to Lorenzo Brown, 36, and Brown was saving the it, police said.
Brown was already in custody for another crime not related to this case in San Mateo County. He was arrested on Aug.3 on suspicion of possessing child pornography.
Investigators found Brown was giving out child pornography to people living in Sacramento and Los Angeles, police said.
35-year-old Justyn Tomblyn was arrested after Los Angeles police served a search warrant related to the case on Aug. 16.
Sacramento police served a warrant in September which led to the arrest of Michael Brown, 42, on suspicion of possessing child pornography.
