PHOTOS: Palo Alto police searching for home burglary suspects

PALO ALTO (KRON)—Police are asking for the public’s help in finding two suspects who were caught on surveillance video stealing items from a Palo Alto home.

The incident happened on Sept.26 around 9 a.m. on Roosevelt Circle.

The first suspect was caught on surveillance video riding a bike down the driveway. He left the bike in the backyard and then walked away.

The second suspect was spotted going into the home through an unlocked door in the backyard. He is accused of stealing three laptops, jewelry and other personal belongings before leaving the scene on a bike.

Police describe both suspects as light-skinned men in their 20s.

The first suspect was wearing black pants, a yellow shirt, a black and gray sweatshirt and a white hat.

The second suspect was last seen wearing red basketball shorts and a black tank top.

The bike that was used for the crime is a black mountain bike with red handlebars, white lettering, a suspension fork and disc brakes.

Detectives are also looking at whether one person was behind the burglary and whether he changed his clothes between the time he dropped off the bike in the backyard and the time he committed the crime.
