Armed robbers in ski masks assault victims in Santa Rosa home invasion

SANTA ROSA (KRON) — Two people were injured when armed robbers in ski masks broke into their Santa Rosa home early Wednesday morning.

Dispatch received a report at around 3:10 a.m. of a home invasion robbery at a residence on Flower Avenue, according to police.

One of the victims, a 57-year-old man, was watching television when four robbers broke into the house. The robbers stabbed him and possibly hit him in the head with a gun.

The other victim, a 24-year-old man who lives in a small house in the backyard of the residence, awoke to two robbers armed with a gun and a knife in ski masks in his bedroom. They began to assault the victim and stabbed him in the arm.

A dog was also stabbed. Sonoma County Animal Control has taken possession of the injured dog.

The robbers fled and it is unknown if they took anything from the house, police said.

Both victims were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Due to the violent nature of the crime, the names of the victims are not being released.

A reward up to $2,500 is being offered by the Sonoma County Alliance “Take Back Our Community Program.” The reward is for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the robbers involved in this robbery.
