VIDEO: Man dragged by car, injured in SF camera robbery



SAN FRANCISCO (KRON)—A man was dragged by a car while he was trying to stop his camera from being stolen Wednesday afternoon in San Francisco’s Richmond District.

The incident happened on Point Lobos Ave. around 3:15 p.m. near the Cliff House, Lands End and Sutro Baths.

A 29-year-old man was taking pictures with his camera when two men came up to him and took his camera.

The suspects left in a car with three other people inside, but the man did not let go of his camera.

He was dragged by the car as it was driving away, police said.

The man has injuries to his arm and shoulder, but he did not go to the hospital.

The suspects stole his camera as well as camera equipment in the robbery.

This is the second robbery reported in the area within a few days.

Two people were robbed Tuesday night around 10 p.m. on the corner of 45th Ave. and Clement St.

A man and a woman had their laptop, cash, camera equipment, a passport and a driver’s license taken by two men with a handgun.

No arrests have been made in either case.
