VIDEO: 3-alarm Concord apartment fire causes $900K in damage

CONCORD (KRON) — A 3-alarm fire that burned at a Concord apartment complex on Friday night has left four people injured and 25 people displaced from their homes, according to Contra Costa County Fire.

The fire was reported around 9:30 p.m. at the Diablo View Apartments on Clayton Road.

Three floors are involved in the fire. Units on the second and third floors of the building have been damaged as well as an attic, firefighters said.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire by 10:30 p.m., fire officials said.

Four residents have been treated for smoke inhalation.

The American Red Cross is helping the 25 residents who have been displaced.

The fire has caused about $900,000 in damage, but firefighters were able to save some residents’ belongings from the apartments.
