SANTA ROSA (KRON) — The Sonoma County Sheriff’s office is investigating a stabbing that happened at a Santa Rosa elementary school on Saturday afternoon.
Deputies responded to reports of an assault at Sheppard Elementary School on West Avenue around 1:30 p.m.
When deputies arrived, they found a boy with multiple stab wounds on his upper torso and his arm.
Emergency crews took the boy to a local hospital for treatment.
Witnesses tell deputies the boy was skateboarding on campus when several unknown men confronted him.
He was attacked by the men and stabbed multiple times, according to deputies.
The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office MAGNET unit and detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit are conducting a follow-up investigation.
