SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — It looked like the Chicago Cubs would complete a sweep of the Giants last night but San Francisco roared back to beat the National League Central champs 6-5 in 13 innings.

The Cubs and their fans had to be feeling pretty good about things when pitcher Jake Arrieta opened the scoring with a three-run home run off of Giants’ ace Madison Bumgarner.

The lead didn’t hold up however as the Giants ate up the Cubs bullpen.

Tuesday’s pitching matchup has John Lackey going for the Cubs against Matt Moore.

If the Giants take Friday evening’s game, the series will be decided in Chicago Thursday.
