FAIRFIELD (KRON) — A man tried to lure a 16-year-old teen girl into a car in Fairfield on Tuesday morning, according to police.
Police said the girl was walking northbound on Dover Avenue north of East Tabor Avenue when a dark gray, four-door sedan, slowed in the road next to her and blocked the driveway area where people turn into a nearby parking lot.
The man then spoke to the girl and tried to lure her into a car, police said. That is when the girl told the suspect to leave her alone and kept walking.
The suspect drove away, but came back two more times a bit later, making other attempts to convince her to get into his car, police said. However, she refused.
The suspect drove away for good northbound on Dover Avenue.
Police describe the suspect as a black man, about 25 years old, with very, short dark hair, brown eyes, and a big nose.
The suspect may have tattoos on his arm, police said.
