BERKELEY (KRON) — Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened over the weekend near the University of California, Berkeley campus, authorities said.
The robbery was reported on Sunday, Oct. 9 at around 11:08 p.m. near the intersection of LeConte Avenue and LeRoy Avenue, police said.
The victim was walking when a man approached from a hidden driveway.
The robber has a gun and demanded the victim’s property.
The victim complied. The robber then ran southbound on LeRoy Avenue, police said.
The robber is a Hispanic male, around 25 years old, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and grey pants.
The victim was not injured during the robbery. It is unknown is the victim is affiliated to UC Berkeley.
No arrests have been made.
This comes after an armed robbery was also reported near campus Saturday night.
