Apartment fire in San Francisco requires evacuations

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Tenants in a San Francisco building were evacuated as a single-alarm fire erupted, Friday morning.

According to San Francisco fire, crews were notified around 7:57 a.m. of a fire breaking out in the area of 1310 Turk Street.

As of 8:19 a.m. the fire has been contained.


Crews advised residents in the area to avoid the scene.

The fire erupted in an apartment over a garage.

As of 8:07 a.m. a rescue squad helped tenants evacuate the building, and so far no injuries have been reported nor victims.


No other additional information has been available at this time.
