(KRON) Periods of rain will continue today, mainly south of the Golden Gate. Rain could be locally heavy in the Santa Cruz and Santa Lucia Mountains.
Flash flood watch for the Santa Cruz Mountains is in effect until tonight. Locally strong and gusty southerly winds expected today, mainly across the southern portion of the forecast area.
Showers will continue region wide through tonight, with some lingering showers possible for tomorrow.
Dry weather will return to the Bay Area by Tuesday and persist through the rest of the week and into next weekend. A robust warming trend is forecast from Tuesday through Friday as high pressure builds over California and offshore flow develops.
Rain shower chance expected throughout this morning before rain becomes likely this afternoon. Highs will be in the 60s and south winds will reach 5 to 15 mph. There will be rain this evening and a chance of showers after midnight.
Lows will be in the 50s with southwest winds reaching 10 to 20 mph. Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers in the morning. Highs will range from the lower to the mid 60s. Southwest winds will reach 5 to 10 mph in the morning before becoming light. There will be a 20 percent chance of showers. A coastal flood advisory will be in effect until 3 p.m. tomorrow.
