Bay Area sees more rain in 3 days than all of Oct. 2015

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — For many parts of the Bay Area, more rain has fallen over the last few days than all of last October, according to the National Weather Service.

A big storm hit the region on Friday and brought steady, widespread rainfall until Monday morning.

Redwood City picked up 2.27 inches of rain since the first of the month. Last year, the city didn’t see that much rain until December 3.

According to the National Weather services unofficial rainfall totals, parts Oakland picked up nearly 2 inches of rainfall. The Santa Cruz Mountains picked up the most rainfall recording almost up to 10 inches of rain.

Downtown San Francisco showed rainfall of 1.08 inches and Concord reported 1.16 inches.

Santa Rosa reported 1.81 inches while in San Jose rainfall totaled 0.55 inches
