FREMONT (KRON) — A woman was sent to the hospital after she was brutally assaulted and robbed outside of her home in Fremont. Now, police are searching for the suspect.
Around 1:40 a.m. on Monday morning, a female was approached by a male suspect as she was exiting her vehicle at her home located in the 40000 block of Citrus Drive in Fremont’s Irvington District.
As the victim approached the front door of her residence, the man approached her and began brutally attacking her. The woman said the man violently beat her up.
The victim’s friend heard the commotion and came to her rescue. The suspect then fled on foot with the victim’s purse.
The suspect is described as a black male adult and was last seen entering the passenger seat of a tan or light brown sedan.
The victim was transported to a regional trauma center to be treated for major injuries.
This is an active investigation and detectives are now working on this case and police are searching for the suspect.
