SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Police were investigating a small suspicious device in San Francisco’s Mission District Thursday night.
But police said the object was deemed safe at around 8:48 p.m. Police will remain in the area as they continue their investigation.
It was reported around 6:20 p.m. at a park on Stevenson St. and Duboce Ave. right under the freeway
A shelter was in place on the 100 block of Duboce Ave. and the park had been evacuated. That order has since been lifted.
Police are still telling people to avoid the area.
The bomb squad is on the scene. Explosive Ordnance Disposal had been put in place.
