PETALUMA (KRON) — Authorities are investigating a stabbing that occurred Friday night in Petaluma involving a minor, according to police.
Officers were dispatched to the Buffalo Billiards in Petaluma around 11:41 p.m. in regards to a stabbing, but when officers arrived on scene no victims or suspects were discovered.
Later on that night a subject arrived at the Petaluma Valley Hospital 20 minutes later, with a large slash wound to his torso. Police said the subject required surgery sustain the injury.
The injury was non life-threatening, and the subject was expected to recover.
According to police, the subject initially identified himself as being 18-years-old but authorities later discovered that he was a juvenile.
Police said the victim did provide some information on the incident, and officers believed the stabbing may be gang related.
