OAKLAND (KRON) — A reward of up to $50,000 is being offered for information about a drive-by shooting that injured seven men in East Oakland late Saturday night, according to Oakland police.
The initial shooting occurred in the 7700 block of Bancroft Avenue at about 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, police said.
As officers were arriving at 12:30 a.m., additional shots were fired but no officers were injured. None of the officers returned fire.
Seven victims between the ages of 27 and 45 were taken to local hospitals to be treated for gunshot wounds, according to police.
One of the victims is still in critical condition but one has been treated and released, police said.
A man with a gun was detained in the area following the second shooting but investigators are trying to determine if he is connected to either of the incidents, police said.
