WINDSOR, Calif. (AP) — A Spanish-language school in Sonoma County has been vandalized with graffiti criticizing immigrants and referencing Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports (http://bit.ly/2f4MZ97 ) that Cali Calmecac Language Academy Principal Jeanne Acuna says a custodian found the graffiti on Monday morning. The messages covered buildings, walls, doors and garbage can lids and had messages such as “build the wall higher,” and Trump’s name.
The school, in the community of Windsor, is a dual immersion program which teaches in both Spanish and English. Acuna says about 75 percent of the students are Latino.
Windsor police are investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the police department.
