SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Four prolific auto burglars were arrested in San Francisco after multiple auto burglaries in the city.
Over the course of several weeks, the San Francisco Police Department’s Patrol Bureau Task Force (PBTF) officers conducted an investigation into of an auto burglary crew committing auto burglaries throughout San Francisco.
On October 20th, Bayview Police Station officers attempted to detain one of the identified suspects. During the attempt to detain the suspect, he intentionally crashed his vehicle into a police car two times and was able to avoid arrest.
As the investigation into that incident and the additional auto burglary incidents continued the officers developed sufficient information to conduct a search warrant.
On October 25th officers from the PBTF and Northern Police Station conducted a search warrant at a residence on Fernbank Way in Antioch. During that search warrant, the officers arrested two of the suspects identified in the auto burglary series. The officers also recovered two firearms, one which was stolen in 2012 in Henderson Nevada.
On October 26th, two additional suspects were located and arrested in San Francisco at San Bruno Avenue and Burrows.
One suspect has been identified as Deshawn Patton, 20 years-old, of San Bruno. Patton was charged with six counts of aggravated assault on police officers for ramming a car into a police vehicle, three counts of auto burglary, two counts of conspiracy, two counts of possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, a probation violation, and one count of committing a felony while out of jail on bail. Patton is on probation in San Francisco.
A second suspect has been identified as Tomiko Miller, 18 years-old from Bay Point. Miller was charged with auto burglary, possession of stolen property, conspiracy, and committing a felony while out of jail on bail. Miller is also on active probation out of Contra Costa County.
A third suspect has been identified as Bernard Sieps, 28 years-old from San Francisco. Sieps was charged with four counts of auto burglary, four counts of possession of stolen property, three counts of conspiracy, and a probation violation. Sieps is on probation in San Francisco for possession of a firearm and probation in San Mateo County for burglary.
The fourth suspect has been identified as Jamisi Calloway, 19 years-old from Lathrop. Calloway was charged with one count of burglary, one count of conspiracy, one count of possession of stolen property, and one count of committing a felony while out on bail. Calloway was arrested earlier this year by the Patrol Bureau Task Force on auto burglary charges and was out on bail at the time of this arrest.
With the arrests of Deshawn Patton, Tomiko Miller, Bernard Sieps, and Jamisi Calloway the San Francisco Police Department’s Patrol Bureau Task Force has arrested one hundred and twenty suspects and charged them with committing two hundred and ten auto burglaries in San Francisco in less than a year.
Although arrests have been made, this remains an active investigation.
