Multiple thefts, robbery reported in Alameda on Halloween

ALAMEDA (KRON) — A robbery and two thefts were reported in Alameda’s South Shore Center on Monday night, according to police.

Officers responding to numerous reports of juveniles causing a disturbance in Alameda Monday evening determined that someone had been robbed, according to police.

Ten officers, including two sergeants and a lieutenant, were dispatched to the South Shore Center at 7:46 p.m.

Two separate groups were detained, and many of the children involved were wearing Halloween masks, according to police.

One victim came forward to report a robbery at the time, but two additional thefts have been reported online, and police say they are “dedicated to fully investigating each call (they) receive.”
