ALAMEDA COUNTY (KRON)—The disappearance of a missing woman, who volunteers with the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office, has been deemed suspicious, according to the sheriff’s office.
Karla Ramirez-Segoviano,21, was last seen around 10:20 p.m. Wednesday after a friend dropped her off on 136th Avenue in San Leandro.
Ramirez-Segoviano is described as a Hispanic woman, 5 feet tall, 160 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.
She also has a dreamcatcher tattoo on her left arm, sheriff’s officials said.
Ramirez-Segoviano’s car was spotted around 12:30 a.m. Thursday morning in near Happyland Ave. and West A Street in Hayward near Interstate 880.
A license plate reader showed her white 2013 Chevy Cruz with the license plate number 7AQS4412.
Ramirez-Segoviano does not have any known friends in the vicinity and has not been heard from since.
“We’re just perplexed,” sheriff’s spokesman Ray Kelly said.
Ramirez-Segoviano is a police explorer for the sheriff’s office.
“This is very unlike her,” Kelly said.
