Deputies looking for bike of Sonoma State murder victim


SONOMA (KRON)— The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the bike belonging to an 18-year-old who was found stabbed to death and buried on the Sonoma State grounds last week.

Kirk Kimberly was found with multiple stab wounds on Wednesday. Kimberly was found in a shallow grave near parking lot M of the campus by a landscaper.

He had been missing since Oct. 17. Kimberly is not associated with Sonoma State nor its students.

Deputies describe the mountain bike as a white, men’s , 2011 Cannondale Quick CX3.

The bike recently had installed road tires which had reflective material on the sidewalls.

Anyone with information about where the bike might be is asked to call Sonoma County Sheriff’s Detective Horsman at 707-565-2185.
