Man killed in double shooting at San Jose park identified

SAN JOSE (BCN)—A man fatally shot at a park in East San Jose Thursday evening has been identified as 38-year-old Miguel Lozano Rojas, police said today.

Rojas, of San Jose, was one of two men found shot at Capitol Park in the 2500 block of Bambi Lane near Peter Pan Avenue shortly after 6:30 p.m., police said.

Rojas was pronounced dead at the scene and the other victim was transported to a hospital for injuries not considered life-threatening, according to police.

Police haven’t identified or arrested any suspects in connection with the double shooting as of this afternoon.

The death is the city’s 41st homicide this year, police said.
