SHASTA COUNTY (KRON) — A 34-year-old Redding woman went missing after going out for a jog last week, according to the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office.
Sherri Papini, a wife and mother of two, was last seen jogging on Nov. 2 on Sunrise Drive in Reddiing. She never returned from her jog that day.
Investigators say she texted her husband earlier that day. He later came home from work and realized that she had never returned. He reported her missing at 5:51 p.m.
He then learned that their two children had not been picked up from daycare, as she usually does. He checked his Find My iPhone app and located her phone near the intersection of Old Oregon Trail and Sunrise Drive. She was nowhere to be found.
The children were later picked up from daycare by family and are safe.

Deputies have canvassed the area. Papini was last seen on Sunrise Drive at around 2 p.m. jogging alone which is normal for her.
Her husband believes that she may have been abducted while she was jogging.
This is considered as a Missing Persons, At Risk and under Suspicious Circumstances. Papini does not have any known medical or mental health issues.
She has blue eyes, blonde hair, weighs 100 pounds, stands 5’3″ and was last seen wearing a pink jogging suit.
There is a $50,000 reward being offered for any information leading to her whereabouts.
