(KRON) —¬†More and more people are leaving California due to the rising housing costs.

A new report from data analysis firm CoreLogic says for every home buyer coming into the state, there are three Californians selling and moving elsewhere.

Researchers say the expensive housing market is to blame.

The median home price is $428,000 and prices are up 71 percent since 2011.

And incomes are not keeping up with the home prices, forcing lots of people in the working and middle class out of the state.

The report also says San Jose has the most expensive housing market in California where the median home price is $1 million.
