Semi truck crash causes major delays on Hwy 24 in Oakland

OAKLAND (KRON) — A crash involving a semi truck is causing major traffic delays on Highway 24 through Oakland.

The crash happened at around 7:39 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Hwy 24 just before the Caldecott Tunnel, according to the California Highway Patrol.

All lanes were reopened by 9 a.m. but the traffic is still backed up beyond Claremont.

CHP is reporting that the accident resulted in injuries but further information is unavailable at this time.
