Man walks away with money from a bank in Santa Rosa

SANTA ROSA (KRON) — Police are on the hunt for a suspect who is connected to a bank robbery that occurred in Santa Rosa Tuesday evening, according to police.

Police said, officers were dispatched approximately at 4:10 p.m. on a report of a robbery that occurred at the Exchange Bank located at 499 Stony Point Road in Santa Rosa.

Upon arrival officers spoke with bank employees who claimed that a white adult male entered the bank and gave a handwritten letter to one of the bank tellers demanding money.

According to witnesses the suspect left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

According to authorities, the suspect was described as a white male in his 40’s or 50’s, and standing anywhere between 5’2″ to 5’6″. The suspect was caught on security camera.

Police said the suspect was wearing a tan baseball cap with white shorts and a blue hoodie.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is advised to notified the Santa Rosa Police.
