SAN JOSE (KRON) — A fatal three-car crash is blocking traffic near San Jose City Hall on Thursday afternoon, firefighters said.
Firefighters said the accident happened at around 4:34 p.m. in the area of Santa Clara and Fourth Street. Police are asking drivers to avoid the area and to expect delays.
One person has died in the crash. He has been identified as an adult male.
Two other victims were rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
One of the vehicles involved is a white news van. The other two cars in the crash were a pick-up truck and dark-colored sedan.
The fatally did not involve the news crew, firefighters said.
A man has been detained in the crash. Police said alcohol may be a factor in the investigation.
