PLEASANT HILL (KRON)—Two teachers at College Park High School in Pleasant Hill were assaulted Thursday morning to protest Donald Trump becoming the next President of the United States, according to police.
A group of 200 students from different high schools in Concord and Walnut Creek walked onto the College Park High School campus around 11 a.m., said Pleasant Hill police Sgt. David Downs.
The protest was mostly peaceful around the campus and hallways while students chanted and waved signs.
The alleged assault happened when one teacher was confronted by two or more protesters. The teacher was punched and shoved.
While another teacher was trying to help him, that teacher was also attacked, Downs said.
None of the teachers went to the hospital.
Police are looking at surveillance video in an effort to identify the suspects.
Protesters from dozens of Bay Area high schools walked out of class Thursday to protest the election of Trump.
