SAN JOSE (KRON) — San Jose police are investigating the attempted murder of two police officers.
It happened Sunday around 7:30 p.m. when the officers were patrolling in the area of Luby and Ripley drives.
They were trying to contact a group of men.
The group ran away and one of the men turned around and shot the officers.
The ones who were targeted were not hit or injured and did not shoot their weapons.
The suspect has not been found or identified.
Police have closed off the area to try and find the suspect and secure the scene.
Officers describe the suspect as a Hispanic man, about 6 feet tall, between 160 to 180 pounds, about 20 years old, and clean shaven.
The suspect was wearing a black and grey Pendleton with a white T-shirt underneath and dark pants.
A $10,000 reward is offered for information leading to an arrest of the suspect. A description of the suspect will be available later on Monday.
