SAN JOSE (BCN) — A man hit by a car that crashed into a San Jose credit union late Friday morning has been identified as 49-year-old Leonardo Jeronimo of Alviso, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office.
The crash was preceded by a two-car collision that caused one of the vehicles to smash into the Alliance Credit Union at 265 Curtner Ave. around 11:45 a.m., police said.
Jeronimo was one of two people struck by the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
The other person was transported to a hospital for treatment, police said.
The two drivers remained at the scene and were cooperative with investigators, according to police.
The credit union was closed for the Veterans Day holiday, according to its Facebook page.
