OAKLAND (KRON) — Students in Oakland are walking out of their classes Monday morning to protest President-elect Donald Trump.
Students from Oakland Technical High School began their march at around 9 a.m.
They are walking down Broadway to denounce newly elected President Donald Trump.
Several schools all over the Bay Area began protesting last week after Election Day.
Students say they feel under-represented by Trump and say this is their way of being heard since they are not legally allowed to vote yet.
“We’re students and even though we don’t have a voice in the vote, we have a voice in this nation” said Kendall Prime, a student at Oakland Technical High School.
Oakland students are also planning to hold a rally later Monday. They will gather at noon at the Fruitvale BART station.
