SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — You may remember when the City of San Francisco was transformed into Gotham City and saved by Batkid.
Friday marks the three-year anniversary of that special day.
The little boy took the city by storm and made national headlines. Miles Scott was 5 years old at the time.
He battled villains and saved a damsel in distress.
It was a Make-A-Wish Foundation event but was s social media phenomenon. People all over the world watched the live streams.
That is in addition to the thousands of people who showed up in person to play along and get a glimpse.
Miles was diagnosed with leukemia at 18 months old.
Now, he’s growing fast and doing great, according to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Miles is 8 years old and in remission.
His parents have welcomed their third son. making Miles a brother of two.
They say Miles loves playing baseball, and as you can see, he’s growing fast.
A documentary about Miles’ heroic day even hit the big screen last year.
It chronicled the day San Francisco turned into Gotham City and Miles stole so many hearts.
