63-year-old man killed in Concord car crash

CONCORD (KRON)—A 63-year-old man died in a two-car crash Friday night near the Concord Pavilion in Concord, according to police.

Police responded to reports of the crash just before 7 p.m. on Kirker Pass Road.

Officers found the man was unresponsive.

A preliminary report shows the man’s car broke down on the road. The man was sitting in his car when another car hit his, according to police.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the other car had minor injuries.

The name of the victim who died is not being released.

Police are still investigating the case.
