Fremont police investigating shooting at apartment complex

FREMONT (KRON)—A 30-year-old man was wounded Saturday morning after a shooting in Fremont, according to police.

Officers responded to reports of loud banging noises around 4:30 a.m. and heard a man yell for help at the Waterstone Apartments on Leslie Street, police said.

Police found a man with a gunshot wound after they arrived on the scene.

He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Officers are still investigating the case, but have little information about the shooting.

Police are looking for a suspect described as a black man, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 125 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
