(KRON)—Some Sabra hummus products made before Nov. 8 have been voluntarily recalled because of Listeria concerns.
Listeria has not been found in any of the products, but the company did this out of an abundance of caution.
The ones recalled have been sold at retail outlets in the United States and Canada.
Listeria monocytogenes can cause deadly infections in children, elderly and other people with weak immune systems.
Those who are healthy may only have a high fever, nausea, stiffness or abdominal pain.
Pregnant women can have miscarriages and stillbirths from Listeria infections.
Consumers with hummus products that have the best before date of Jan. 23, 2017 are asked to get rid of it.
Sabra Hummus, Sabra Salsa, Sabra Guacamole and Sabra Greek Yogurt dips are not part of the recall.
