(BCN) — Commuters in need of transportation today will have extra options as Caltrain will run on a modified schedule for the first time, Caltrain officials announced. Crews will run 48 trains between San Jose and San Francisco. The modified schedule is similar to the normal Saturday service, but will offer six extra trains in each direction, including one round trip from Gilroy.
The San Mateo County Transit District, which runs Caltrain, will operate SamTrans buses on a normal weekday schedule, with the exception of routes that serve local schools.
