SAN JOSE (KRON)—A light-rail train collided with a sedan in downtown San Jose Saturday afternoon, according to the fire department.
It happened around 11:20 a.m. near 1st and Taylor streets.
The light rail train was heading southbound on 1st Street and the car was traveling westbound on Taylor Street when the crash happened.
It is not clear how the collision occurred.
The fire department said the car is a white BMW and has heavy damage.
The light rail train also was damaged and has been put out of service.
No injuries were reported.
