SAN FRANCISCO (KRON)—Two kayakers were rescued from the water at Rodeo Beach Sunday afternoon by the Coast Guard.
A driver called San Francisco’s Coast Guard command center around 3:15 p.m.
Two kayakers were caught in a current and being pulled to sea.
A 47-foot lifeboat was used by the Coast Guard around 4 p.m.
Crews quickly found the kayakers in the water trying to swim to shore.
The two people were rescued and none of them were injured.
“The Coast Guard urges anyone that sees mariners in danger to contact the Coast Guard or 911 immediately,” said Lt. Cmdr. Walter Daniel, a Sector San Francisco Command Center search and rescue mission coordinator. “In this case, the motorist’s quick action helped us retrieve the two kayakers out of the water.”
