CASTRO VALLEY (KRON) — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in trying to figure out who shot a father to death in front of his home while his family was inside.
KRON4’s Terisa Estacio was at the crime scene.
Authorities say they are reviewing surveillance video, but they need more and they are asking the public in this very quiet and nice Castro Valley neighborhood to go over their video in hopes it will help them identify who killed a father in front of his home.
The crime happened last night here on the 4100 block of Wilson in Castro Valley.
A spokesperson with the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department says shots were fired multiple times. They are looking for a suspect that may have been driving a vehicle and fled from the area.
An ambulance was called, but sadly the man died.
He has been identified as 37-year-old Cesar Plascencia of Castro Valley.
Plascencia was shot right outside his home.
His family was inside the home including his 9-year-old daughter.
An autopsy will be performed Tuesday.
Authorities say tragically the man’s family was at home during the fatal shooting.
His name is expected to be released soon.
If you have a camera system, authorities are asking you to contact them.
