VIDEO: 1 detained, handgun recovered after police activity at the Metreon in San Francisco



SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The Metreon in San Francisco had been evacuated because of suspicious activity Tuesday night, according to police.

At around 8:49 p.m., San Francisco police tweeted that the situation had been resolved. One person is in custody and a handgun was recovered, police said.

The incident was first reported at 7:55 p.m. Police got a call about a person possibly armed with a handgun

No injuries were reported.


The evacuation order is a precautionary measure, said SFPD Officer Grace Gatpandan.

Mission and 4th streets are shut down as police continue to investigate the area.
