VIDEO: Cheeky notices condemning hate appear on San Francisco BART commuter trains

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Official-looking, yet unauthorized, notices warning against racist, sexist and homophobic behavior have been found on San Francisco Bay Area commuter trains.

BART spokeswoman Alicia Trost says they spotted the notices Friday morning. She does not know how many there are, but says they will be removed.

The notices look like official messages from the agency and were placed over existing ads.

The notices say that racism, sexism, Islamophobia, homophobia, transphobia and xenophobia are prohibited in the BART system at all times. It then advises riders to get their act together, but using more colorful language.

Last month, the agency tweeted a reminder that people should be decent to one other.

There have been reports of people attacking Muslims, Latinos and other minority groups since Donald Trump was elected president.
