OAKLAND (KRON)—East Bay Congresswoman Barbara Lee expressed her sympathies for the victims and families of those involved with the deadly Oakland warehouse fire.
“I am incredibly grateful to the firefighters and first responders who worked so hard to prevent further loss of life and I am confident that Oakland officials will continue their hard work to provide answers to the many questions that remain at this time, especially for those seeking answers about loved ones who may have been present,” Lee said in a statement.
Lee represents the area where the fire broke out on Friday night.
Lee said she has offered complete support to secure federal assistance the city of Oakland may need in responding to the fire.
She also strongly encouraged those searching for their loved ones to call (510) 382-3000.
