TACOMA, Wash.(KRON/CNN)—A three-year-old girl from Tacoma, Washington battling cancer will be home for Christmas this year and it’s all thanks to a life-saving gift from a woman in Canada.
Savanna Gomez left the Seattle Children’s Hospital thanks to Pam Dicaire.
Pam donated her cells to help save Savanna after she was diagnosed with leukemia and this was not the first time Pam’s donation saved Savanna’s life.
Her cells also saved Savanna when she was previously diagnosed with a deadly immune system disorder.
After donating the first time and getting to meet savanna and her family, Pam said she would do it again in an instant.
Dicaire says all the costs to donate are covered,it doesn’t hurt and the rewards are overwhelming.
