SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A man was found fatally stabbed in San Francisco’s Castro District this afternoon, police said.
Officers responded at 2:54 p.m. to the area of 18th and Diamond streets on a report of someone lying on the sidewalk with a knife sticking out of their chest, San Francisco police spokeswoman Officer Giselle Talkoff said.
A witness reported discovering an adult male with a knife sticking out of his chest, Talkoff said.
Police have not determined whether a suspect was involved or whether the wounds were self-inflicted.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Talkoff said.
The death is being investigated as suspicious–but not a homicide.
SFPD is on-scene and the medical Examiner is en route, Talkoff said.
