Attempted robbery suspects at large after pursuit from Berkeley to Oakland

 

BERKELEY (BCN) — Police from Berkeley and Oakland conducted an extensive search for two attempted robbery suspects in the Rockridge neighborhood of Oakland Tuesday evening, but the suspects remain at large.

Around 5:30 p.m. Berkeley police responded to the 2800 block of Piedmont Avenue on report of an attempted robbery.

A Berkeley Police officer saw the suspect vehicle fleeing the scene in a dark sedan and pursued them. The suspects abandoned the vehicle in the 5600 block of Oak Grove Avenue in Oakland after getting involved in two minor collisions on the way.

Officers from both departments set up a perimeter and conducted a search, but they were unable to locate the suspects.

The first suspect was described as a black male between 15 and 20 years of age and standing roughly 6 feet tall. There was no description available for the second suspect.
